Sierra Nevada clone is low on numbers

Not sure on efficiency. Don't even know how to calculate that. LHBS mills it for me.

Sierra Nevada clone is low on numbers

That's what I assumed, I just don't get it. I have done 2 other AG batches and my numbers were much better (partly from upping my grain bill). 52 quart chest freezer, stainless steel braid mash tun. I put a couple of foil pie pans on top and slowly scoop the sparge water in. Anything sound...

Sierra Nevada clone is low on numbers

I took the OG after I cooled it, it was approx 70 degrees. (I know that will add a bit, being that hydro is calibrated around 60 degrees).

Sierra Nevada clone is low on numbers

OG 1.035, FG 1.006 gives me approx 3.8%. I know the OG was LOW, what could have happened? This was my first AG batch. I had an experienced brewer help me and everything went pretty well. I feel like I'm drinking o'douls.

    Storing Propane Outside?

I leave mine in all of the elements. Rain, Snow, sun, cold, heat, etc... Whatever you choose to do will work fine. I don't care about rust, because I don't refill them. I just exchange them.

    Wort chiller vs. Ice Bath

What kind of ice are you using?!? Yes, I do cover it in between stirs. I've found 5 gallons cools quickly as long as you keep the ice up to the wort level. It probably helped too, that the air temp was around 30 the last time I did this.

    Wort chiller vs. Ice Bath

I saw the other thread and it seems everyone recommends the wort chiller. I still haven't bought one and wonder what you guys think about the ice batch method. I have the ability to make as much ice as I need (I have a walk in freezer), so cost should not weigh into this as a factor. I have...
