    Keezer build with questions!

Dude, I'm not an electrician so take this with a grain of salt. I personally wouldn't cut wires and stuff in your freezer. I bought a temp controller from Aubrin's. I wired it into an extension cord, placing the temp probe inside. Plugged the freezer in the recepticle end of the extension cord...

    Home depot chest freezer sale

Dude, think you are getting hosed. When I was building my keezer, the 5.0's were around 150 at lowes and Wal-mart. I bought a 7.0 cubic foot freezer from 189 at Lowes. Shop around.

Choosing a chest freezer for a keezer build

Dude. I wouldn't buy that specific temp controller due to the amperage being wrong. You can call Auber and they will recommend the one you would need. Here is a link to my keezer build. I didn't put in all the stuff about the temp controller, but it does show my freezer that is used...

Choosing a chest freezer for a keezer build

Also, I wouldn't buy that specific controller. The amperage is wrong. If you call Auber, they will help you pick the right one.

Choosing a chest freezer for a keezer build

Dude...it's simpler than that. It doesn't matter which freezer you buy. Buy what will serve your purposes best. I bought a 7.0 cubic foot freezer from Lowes for around 180 bucks. As for a temp controller, there are a bunch to choose from. I bought mine from Auberins. I bought the temp controller...

    EZ's Keezer Build

jpzep, that's exactly my next step. Just gotta find that decal. I was going to pull those tiles out during football season and paint them black and gold of my Saints. Then get me a fleur de lis.

    EZ's Keezer Build

Thanks. I didn't realize that. I don't have it flat, it is at an angle. Right now I don't have any other option. I do need another tank so I can use with my filter. Might swap it out.

    EZ's Keezer Build

Ok...I finished it. Here is the finished product. I have a 20 lb co2 tank that has a collar around the nozzle. It stands too tall, to stand upright. I have to lay it over in the keezer. Any suggestions on how to remove it?

    Keezer dehumidifer question

Yeah..I looked at the barbed connector at Lowes. I couldn't find a nut to place on the back to tighten with. They had pipe threads on it.

    Anyone else have a suggestion?

    Keezer dehumidifer question

I'm unsure what you mean by a barbed adapter. I thought about a self tapping valve like you do to a waterline for an ice maker, but they are for a pipe. I wouldn't know how to connect it to the side of my dehumidifier. Could you post a picture of this barbed adapter?

    Keezer dehumidifer question

Hey....Would like your opinion. I bought a dehumidifier for my keezer. This is it. http://www.amazon.com/EDV-1100-Electric-Dehumidifier-Removable-Effectiveness/dp/B00247MNV6/ref=sr_1_8?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1295809068&sr=1-8 Anyway, I put this in so I wouldn't have to defrost my manual...

    EZ's Keezer Build

Progress is slow. Temperature is dropping and my shop is not insulated. I need to trim it up. Route a lip in the top. I'm going to get some tempered glass. Then I'll be ready to sand it down and stain it.

    EZ's Keezer Build

I have a lot of blemishes. It has been a challenge for me since I'm not a carpenter. I'm making it out of Red Oak. I have a huge scrap pile. lol Please don't be too critical. I'm kinda proud of this, blemishes and all. I will post more photos as I progress.

    EZ's Keezer Build

Ok....I'm a noob at brewing and all this stuff. I've gathered, slowly, over the past year, all the equipment i've needed. I still have a couple of pieces to go. One of the things that I realized that I was going to need is a Keezer. I was inspired by a lot of you guys and the great work that you...
