Opening a Pub / Feedback please!

I agree with this! There's a lot of cool pressed sandwiches you could do that would interest a foodie crowd, but that's probably not the right answer if you want to make money...

I need a fast turnaround summertime beer...

Pitch enough active yeast and anything hoppy should be good to go in 3-4 weeks. I regularly start drinking American ambers in two weeks.11-12 days in fermenter and a couple days on high psi (30) co2.

Dry hopping in keg....that was dumb what I just did.

I ended up siphoning into a new keg. Man, it smelled good from the dry hop!. I might sink a bag or a tea ball full of perle in there tomorrow. Thanks for all the help!

Dry hopping in keg....that was dumb what I just did.

I'm thinking just unscrew the dip tube and lift it up, secure the strainer, then put it back in. Any problems with that?

Dry hopping in keg....that was dumb what I just did.

Could I just wrap the paint strainer bag around the bottom of the dip tube intake?

Dry hopping in keg....that was dumb what I just did.

Thanks everyone. It's not carbed yet, so I think I'll just rack it to a new keg tonight and start all over. I've got a small paint strainer bag and an extra ounce of hops. How about sanitizing the bag, putting the pellets in, adding a few sanitized weights, then dropping it in?

Dry hopping in keg....that was dumb what I just did.

First time kegging. I decided to dry hop with an ounce of pellets so I just tossed 'em into the keg with the beer. Any ideas on how to salvage the beer without clogging all my valves/beer lines?

    Thoughts on Sam Adams...

Yeah, about half the time this happens to me b/c the beer is just not treated right. Just happens that if I'm at a place that I have to go to SA it's also likely a place that doesn't take care of it's beer service. Old, poorly treated bottles; dirty lines or glassess; etc.... It's a great...

    The Brewing Network

I don't like the "Drunk of the Week" portion of the Sunday Session. I'm not comfortable with homebrewing or homebrewers encouraging people to drink that much. The last show I listened to the guy who won said he "Chugged a DFH 120." No one should ever be encouraged to do that. The beer deserves...

Mr Malty Pitching Rate Calculator You'll be fine, I think. Might not attenuate as much as you would like.

    Transporting Primary just before racking

It'll only take a few minutes to settle. I don't ever worry about it though. All the yeasties settle again in the bottle after they do the conditioning magic.
