I recently brewed a lager and did a very vigorous boil for 90 minutes but my boil-off was 3 gallons...that's 2 gallons an hour. Seems insanely high. Is this just something I need to factor in next time or did I boil too hard?

@joe_CraftBeerTraders, I think you missed Chapmans point. All the negatives of 201 vs 304 (harder to form/weld, etc) are on the manufacturers end. We the consumer see all the benefits. Just because everyone uses 304 doesn't mean it's better. And as far as corrosion resistance, I'm not a...
Yeah this dip tube in the barrel is interesting.. because it's not air-tight to the nut, you lose any siphon you have once the water level drops below the nut.. so that leaves a lot of waste. If it was sealed, even with a small O-ring, i don't think it would be a problem.
Yeah that's what I figured, certainly won't be a shortage of "samples" even with just the social ticket.
Now, parking.. while lucky enough to book Marriott in time, didn't realize the $46/day parking fees!!!!
