I used aluminum (sp?) flashing from lowes and a few pop rivets. Works great for me.

I use Bar keepers Friend on my SS pots. Works great and keeps them like new. Just be sure to give them a very good rinsing afterwords. As for the carboys I use unscented oxiclean (I use store brand and just be sure it's not scented). Leave them to soak over night give a good rinse a few times...

I bent my dip tube instead of cutting it. Works great for me. I only leave maybe a half a pint behind and all sediment stays behind as well. Like I said it works for me but, it is not needed. I would run a few batches through you keg set up before you cut or modify any thing.

I have had the sq -14 for almost two years. I do 5 gallon batches ( all grain ) and have never been disappointed by this burner.

Bringing back an old thread. SouthernYankee, How did this work out? I am looking at doing the same thing. how did you or any one else connect the main propane line to the manifold? I only see 3/8 inch female pipe thread on the end of the propane hoses on bayou classics website...

I would like to keep my starsan for than one use. Could I just keep a glass carboy full of a starsan mixture and just seal the top with saran wrap ans a elastic.

I did this same thing but with 1/2" plywood and 2x4's. I also polyed the wood to seal it. works great, I house 4 corny kegs on it with no problems.

I just got in my 10 gallon mega pot and am wondering what does every one use on your kettke for the drain ( on the ball valve)? I don't want to have to remove it every time but also dont want it to melt.

Ok I got a keg and cut the top open. There was already a stainless pipe welded into the keg (was used to ferment wine at one time). I just ordered a stainless ball vale and hope I got the rite one? The Max heat is 450 deg. Is this ok? Now for the big problem!! The pipe is placed rite over...
