Well... The $100 has turned into $250. Does that change your opinions? I'm pretty set on getting a kettle.

Thanks for all of the replies. I think the instawares pots might be best for me right now. Hopefully the future holds bigger and better!

    $100 Brew Kettle??

If you were stuck with a standard turkey fryer setup that consistently isn't large enough for the beers you like to brew (5 gallon AG full boils)... and had $100 dollars you could spend on a brew kettle right now... What would you get? Or would you recommend saving a bit more? Or investing...

    Kettle on Craigslist...

How does this look?? I've asked what size it is and am waiting for a response. If it is 10 + gallons, I might pick it up for a boil kettle. http://hartford.craigslist.org/hsh/1807301879.html

    Help With Kettles(Instaware)...

Thanks to all for the thoughtful replies. I'm one of those people that just can't envision ever wanting to move up to 10g. That said, I'm seriously considering the 60qt based on your input. It will give me more peace of mind when brewing my 5g batches, and the ability to brew 10g of a lower...

    Help With Kettles(Instaware)...

Looking for some help in determining which of these is better for a boil kettle. Looking at the first 2... one costs twice as much as the other, with the 3rd falling in between. I'm guessing it has to do with thickness but am having a hard time comparing directly. One says "heavy duty"...

    Best Aquarium Heater?

I'm planning on moving my fermentation to a bucket inside a rubbermaid container full of water in my basement. It stays in the upper 50s down there. What size/wattage heater do I need to keep it at ale temp? Any preferred models? Thanks in advance!

    AHS Immersion Chiller...

I'll be cooling 5g full boils and have looked at quite a few. This seems to be a reasonable price and, based on the comments regarding AHS on this site, I'm guessing it's good quality. Does anyone have this immersion chiller? Anything else I should consider? Thanks in advance! Austin...

    Thoughts on this thermomerer?

Also, I mash in a round Rubbermaid cooler. Could I put the probe in the mash and screw the lid on over the wire? Or would I have to keep opening up the lid and sticking the probe in for each reading?

I have a gift certificate to Cabellas and was hoping to use that. They just built one not too far from me so I think I'll take a ride up there and check it out in person.

Largest Grain Bill in 5g Cooler?

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to give the 10.5 lb grain bill a shot (I've only mashed 4 lbs PM so far) and see where I stand. However, that's great news and I'll do my best to stuff as much grain in there as possible sooner than later! Any adjustments for a thicker mash? I'm going to...
