last time I bottled beer the tip of the bottle filler was clogged pretty good with sediment when I was done. It took forever to clean it as the tip does not remove. In fact I am some what skeptical that I cleaned out all the sediment. The tip is black so you cant see if there is anything in...

Newbie question. when sanitizing a 5 gallon carboy do you need to fill it with five gallons of sanitizing solution or is a couple gallons swirled around enough ?

I'm new to this as well, but from what I have learned you want to leave it alone until the gravity stabalizes before moving it to secondary fermentation. Again I'm new to this as well, but I believe this is correct.

Well I love my first brew, I noticed however in my 12oz bottles there is virtually no sediment. I cracked open my first 22 oz bottle today and noticed quite a bit more sediment. Same great flavor, just more sediment. Is this normal? Or just a random thing?

I used the dry yeast Only thing I did different is I added Irish moss 15 minutes before the end of my boil. Primary 10 days Secondary 4 weeks...that took some patience Bottles aprox ten days.

Finally cracked open a few bottles...simply awesome. Can't believe my first beer turned out so good. I know it's just a extract kit but I'm really happy with the way this caribou slobber turned out
