I am on the East Coast of Fla. I planted a couple months ago and the vines just shot up and flowered.
Can I use the hops as they are or do I need to dry them first?
So i bought some started plants from Great Lakes Hops
and the plants took off and I have hops growing on the vine. When should I harvest them?
side note: the Cascade vine grows great in Fl. but the Hallatuer isn't doing as well.
Can anyone recommend a mill to grind grain? I used a chopper to grind the barley but the beer was very cloudy. I think it was because there was too fine of a mash.
What about a minute in the micro wave to kill any yeast or other bacteria. I sanitized the bottles and then zap them in the micro for 1 minute. Maybe I am wasting my time.
