    Label help

I work next door to Build-a-sign. They printed 3"x4" clear vinyl decals for me. These were about .12 cents each. It fakes the idea of die-cut and looks pretty sharp- http://i.imgur.com/JdUkz.jpg

    A million gallons of foam

Using that calculator, I think I'll use 4oz of priming sugar on this 5 gallon batch. Thanks for the help.

    A million gallons of foam

No gushers. I did however use the entire pack of priming sugar that came with the kit... So, I've got another batch in a secondary now. So how do I prevent this?

    A million gallons of foam

Popped a batch tonight. It's been bottled for about 6 weeks, in my fridge for 6 days. Taste is pretty good. I'll be working on the details of that... But for this thread... Wow. Foam. Foam everywhere. When I pop the bottle, it's nothing weird, no geyser. When I pour it into my glass, it's...

    Interesting flavor

I got the kit from Austin Homebrew (It's right by my office, so I pretty much get everything there because they have everything and it's uber convenient). Guess this is just the process. My latest recipe I got heavy handed when adding my hops (not by much, maybe added 8-10% more than the...

    Interesting flavor

It's popped a Blue Moon clone I did about 5 weeks ago for first taste. It has a super strong aroma, but the flavor is much more watered down. I hit all my gravity levels, it carbed up nicely. It just doesn't have quite the punch I had hoped when it hits the tongue. Any suggestions for next...

    Am i just lucky?

Yeah, I work in the office parks off Braker and Metric, so I'm literally on the same street as AHS. It's nice.

Dead yeast? Is it too late?

It's a winter ale. The reason for the long secondary (again, found the recipe, sounded interesting) i'd imagine is due to adding bourbon soaked oak chips to get that flavor into the beer at around 21 days.

    Am i just lucky?

Reading through tons of posts and threads... Keep seeing Austin Homebrew Supply mentioned. My office is down the street so I can pop in during lunch most days when I need something or am ready for my new brew. Is this normal for most home brewers or am I lucky to have such easy access?

Dead yeast? Is it too late?

I had planned (per my recipe) to move to the secondary tomorrow... So I'll just proceed as planned and let it go. Plan to leave it in secondary for 45 days. Just hate to pop beer at Christmas that's less than stellar. Figured if I needed a course correction, now would be the time to do it.

Dead yeast? Is it too late?

My airlock stopped bubbling after 5 days in primary (before that, it was the most active airlock I've seen). This was my first time using a smack-pack, so I'm just a little jumpy. Think it's ok? If I'm concerned, do I have options?

    Guidance Needed on Recipe

You know, I think the beer was still a little warmer than it should have been when I took my reading. Is there a calculator I can plug some numbers in to check the variations?

    Guidance Needed on Recipe

I have some LME lying around. Would it be worth my while to take another OG reading and add some to my batch since I just went to primary yesterday afternoon?

    Guidance Needed on Recipe

I brewed this yesterday morning and in OG came in right at 1.065, so it's a tad lower than the projected 1.077, but think it should still be good. I can say that the wort was a great golden brown and the smell during mashing was incredible... So if that's any indication, it should be excellent.

    Guidance Needed on Recipe

The recipe doesn't discuss adding sugar prior to bottling but this seems like a necessary step for carbonation. Am I missing something?

    Guidance Needed on Recipe

I have a two step system (bucket and glass carboy). A couple cooling coils. Everything fairly basic.

    Guidance Needed on Recipe

So I found a recipe on this site that I'm pretty interesting in making. Problem is, I'm still very new at this and am worried about missing the steps. Could a more experienced brewer fill in the assumed steps for me so I don't ruin Christmas with a nasty beer? Here's the recipe...
