    North NJ/NY groupbuy #4 July/August

I'd like to get in on this, probably 2 bags.

    Perpetual NY/NJ/CT bulk grain thread?

Big yay, I love this idea. Considering how quickly these pallets filled up there could be orders fairly frequently. I think there would have to be a pool of people who are able and willing to accept the orders so no one person is overly burdened. Any other opinions on this?

That'd be great, thanks :rockin: PM me your address and the best times to pick up and I'll come by. Thanks again.

I'm not sure when yet, but I'm sure I can get mine no later than Saturday.

I believe the only thing that matters for tax purposes is the delivery location.

NY / NJ Area Bulk Buy

Mine is right, but I'd like to add one sack of GB201 for one of my club members if there's still room. Thanks

NY / NJ Area Bulk Buy

Where would the central pick up site be, bobby? Depending where it is I'm probably about the same distance from both, so I could go on either pallet to balance things out.

Thinking of ordering my keg set up today

That's the one. There's a brand new one sitting in my garage waiting for my tower to arrive. Should be converted by next weekend :rockin:

    Keg Position?

I've seen some Firestone kegs that use a straight dip tube that ends in a well on the bottom edge, not in the center. That would probably work without modification, you'd just need to make sure the beer out side was on the bottom. If the top was even slightly elevated you wouldn't leave any...

    Brinkman Smoker

+1 for the Weber. Affordable, easy to use, holds temps great during long cooks. If you go with the Brinkmann you're going to have to do some modifications to maintain stable temps for the time lengths needed for bbq.

    Damaged Post Threads

I have a ball lock Corny keg with damaged threads on the gas-in post; the post was forced on cross threaded. I was able to get the post off, and now I want to clean up the threads, but I'm having trouble. According to what I was able to find, the threads are 19/32 - 18 and I can't find that...

    Corny Kegs rust?

Nice tip, rollin. Must be cool working with those giant mixers. Would the same mineral oil rub apply to stainless appliances and grills?

    Hello from NJ

North Jersey here, welcome. It's nice to hear from other Jersey brewers. By the way, it's Italian ice, not water ice :cross:

You know what pisses me off? SAME-DIFFERENCE!

Same difference doesn't bother me. At the end of the day and not for nothing both make my eyes throb with aggravation. At the end of the day because of overuse; not for nothing because it doesn't make any sense. One more - the proof is in the pudding The expression is the proof of...

    Rent a brewery

I've heard that Sam's Wicked never had a brewery, it was always contract brewed. Last year Ommegang ran into equipment problems and contract brewed as well.

    Ommegang Hennepin Yeast

It's the same yeast. Ommegang uses the same yeast strain for all their beers as well as for bottle conditioning.

Need Help soon - question on hop pellets!

You'll probably get mixed responses. Pellet hops make lots o' trub, but there is an argument that you'll get less isomeritazation of alpha acids when you use a grain bag. Personally, I use a grain bag
