I have a lot of temp issues doing 5 gallon batches in the 70 qt extreme cooler. I drop less than a degree in 60 minute when doing 10 gallon batches. Unless the 5 gallon is a high SG brew with a lot of grain, I would get a smaller cooler or use foam to limit the head space. -JWP

I use a 2.5gal corney in a Menard's 5 gallon water cooler. I have a co2 charger with 12 gram cartridges and a picnic tap. Works pretty good for camping if you add ice from time to time. If I need to take a smaller amount, I use a 2 liter and a carb cap. JWP

Same exact issue here and I stopped at Menards and bought a grill rack for $7 which worked great. I plan to weld some extra tabs around the edge, but this works for now. -JWP

I popped the black piece out of my auto siphon while cleaning and used the antenna from my 1979 Mustang with some duct tape to put it back in place. I know that every one doesn't have a mustang sitting around, but you will probably find something that will work, and duct tape fixes everything...

Flip Daddy's has a lot of decent beers on tap and good food in Mason. BJ's in Tri-county mall is a brew pub and has decent beers. Brazen Head Irish Pub is OK also.

The rubber is usually a piece of hose that you should be able push out from the wrench end with a flat screw driver. Or, burn it out with FIRE! I usually have the opposite issue where the rubber falls out of the socket. -JWP
