Could I make Apfelwein with other juices? (obv. wouldn't be apfelwein)

Would it be possible to use EdWort's Apfelwein recipe with other juice, assuming that it is additive free? I was thinking about making a batch with either cranberry or orange juice to see what would happen. Would I have any success?

What happened to Genesee Cream Ale?

At my local bev center, I just saw a 24 pack "sampler" of Genesse (8x Cream Ale, 8x Genny Red, 8x Genny 12 Horse) for $9.99. It's called the "Heritage Collection." Hah! http://beerpulse.com/2011/10/genesee-12-horse-ale-returns-on-draft-in-heritage-collection-variety-pack/

Getting rid of unpleasant smell from corny keg lid

Yea, if I can't get the smell out with a 1/2 water 1/2 vinegar soak overnight, I'll do a bleach solution. How diluted should I make it? And is there any problem with soaking the metal along with it, or should I take off the metal parts?

Getting rid of unpleasant smell from corny keg lid

Oh, and that "white stuff" on the center is just because I took a picture while it was drying.

Getting rid of unpleasant smell from corny keg lid

I'm assuming that is the hole for the pressure relief valve. Do you think Starsan would work just as well, or should I stick with vinegar?

Getting rid of unpleasant smell from corny keg lid

We're getting ready to keg our first brew, and we're working with a ball-lock corny leg that was given to us. The liquid dip tube and the lid had a really nasty smell that I assumed was the o-rings, so I got rid of them. I just did an overnight PBW soak and the smell is gone from the dip tube...

    How to "unclump" Oxyclean.

Well, we bought this container last summer (hadn't opened it) and we think that it did this because of the crazy high humidity. Oh well.

    How to "unclump" Oxyclean.

So, we have a container of Oxyclean Free (generic) and it has solidified into a solid "clump" (the same happened to an earlier container of EasyClean one time. Is there a better way to "unclump" it than by just stabbing it with a knife?

    Interested in 2.5gal biab batches

I should say that now I'm limited to inside boils in a 22 qt kettle.

    Interested in 2.5gal biab batches

I'm interested in switching from extract to all-grain, but I want to spend as little as possible on the conversion. Would it be feasible to just get a large grain bag an switch to 2.5g batches of all grain BIAB until I can upgrade my setup? What else would I need?

Leaky stopper or did my stout ferment overnight?

On Sunday I brewed a sweet stout but had a bonehead moment (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f14/had-bonehead-moment-while-brewing-today-305883/); I had to dig the stopper out of the neck of the carboy with a sanitized screwdriver and butter knife, so I'm worried that I damaged the seal on my...

    adding flavored extracts

I agree with the above about the coffee flavoring (Torani, etc.) because of the sugar content. Sites like Austin Homebrew have extracts specifically designed for flavoring beer at bottling without causing issues (http://www.austinhomebrew.com/index.php?cPath=178_21_74). My roommate and I used...
