Medicinal/band-aid off flavors in hoppy recipes only

Really appreciate the ideas folks. Seems most agree I'm on the right track by focusing on the water. Next round there won't be any tap water. I'll be sure to update this thread, as I can't be the only one that's run into this issue.

Medicinal/band-aid off flavors in hoppy recipes only

Hi all, Long time lurker here, been brewing since 2011, currently about to brew my 23rd batch. I started with extract, moved on to partial and also do a bit of all-grain using the brew in a bag method. Since I started I've always been in an apartment (currently in the high rise variety) so...

    Wedding brew label

Hey all, I've been putting together a beer to give out as a wedding favor for our wedding in November. There will be roughly 160-180 people attending, so I am brewing 4 or 5 batches (2 done already). I completed a couple pilot batches earlier this year, and it has turned out great. It's a...

Can I still call it a witbier if it's not white???

Nice thanks for the heads up. While I'm more concerned with the flavor, I would still definitely like to see it looking like a wit should.

Can I still call it a witbier if it's not white???

Hello all, I have been referring to these forums for quite some time and decided to finally post a question of my own. I recently brewed up my original witbier recipe. It's a pretty simple recipe with my own blend of spices and a little extra wheat malt extract to bring up the OG(1060), similar...
