    Need easy to remove labels

Milk is really easy to use. Just slide your cut out paper label through a small saucer with a bit of milk and slap it on the bottle and let dry. If you use an inkjet printer for the labels, the color will run when wet. If you use a laser printer, it will not. To remove the labels, just...

20 gal (80 qt) Aluminum stock pot with lid in Raleigh/Durham

Hey guys, I recently bought a 20 gal Al stock pot with plans on doing 5 and occasionally 10 gal batches. Well when this thing arrived I realized it was just too big for me. It would handle 10 and 15 gal perfectly, but not so much 5. Anyways, I downgraded to a 60 qt, which has worked out...

    Ideas for gluten free label

My mom and brother both have celiacs. Here's a label I use for their beers when i make them. I printed them on a laser printer, then used the milk technique to stick them to the bottles. It works great!

    Roaring Bull Labels

yeah, the milk method is kickass. It works great. Plus, the labels still come off when you want them too, but dont fall off until then. btw, what dimensions are your labels? They look great on the bottle.

    New Label Prototype

For some reason it reminds me of He-Man. Not that he ever came out of a tree or whatever, but still. I think you're critiques are right on the money. Also, it might just be my ****ty laptop screen, but the stout head blends in a bit too much with the background. I'd sort of like to see it...

Sorghum Salvation - a Gluten Free beer

Here's my first label for the boards. I've finally gotten around to piddling with Adobe Illustrator rather than my old favorite - Paint Shop Pro 8, booyah! It's for a Gluten-Free beer I brewed for some relatives who have a gluten intolerance (which means no barley and wheat).

    Label Size

I've been doing mine at 3.5 x 3 inches. I print them with a laser printer on regular white paper, then use milk to stick them to the bottles. It holds super tight, but a soak in soapy water takes them right off. I did Avery labels one time and ended up trashing all those bottles because i...

    Heat!

CAUTION, if you try the bucket of water technique in areas of high humidity, the only thing you'll get is mold. ha ha. I tried this a few weeks back, even put sanitizer in the water and sure enough, it had weird fuzzies growing on the outside of the carboys and bottles. gross. If you do...

    Caramel cream ale?

Well my first attempt is done and has been in the bottle for about 6 weeks. I taste a HUGE amount of vanilla. So much that it makes it more bitter, but not a good bitter. And it tastes super sweet, overly so. Next go around I think I'll half all the additives. Glad to hear your other...

    Man, I love Apfelwein

When i make a gallon of hot spiced apple cider in the winter time, i only use 1, and I only leave it in for a few days, so... ...I was thinking I'd take two sticks, and tie them together with some sanitized fishing line and then dangle it into the carboy, tying a knot at the top and wedging...

    Man, I love Apfelwein

    Where to get bottles?

Go to recycling/drop-off centers. They are already sorted by color. Sure you have to pick them out, but in 20 minutes I scrounged around 60 bottles, even some half liter and one gallons as well. and it's FREE

    Man, I love Apfelwein

I'd bet money that your carboy isnt exactly level. The bubbles go straight up, so if the carboy is tilted even slighty, they would come up on one side.
