Moving to Boston... Where to brew??

I've definitely heard about this one. I've wanted to hit up CBC for the past couple of weekends, but figured it was worth waiting for the Pumpkin Festival. Thanks for the heads up. -RPM

Moving to Boston... Where to brew??

I'm definitely finding a ton of great micros up here, the region is stocked for sure. It's just a bittersweet thing to leave Philly, and all of my beers, behind. Luckily I'm not moving into a craft beer vaccum. -RPM

Moving to Boston... Where to brew??

I ended up in Newton, it was tough to find someone who would agree to a new roommate that they wouldn't meet. Found one though, and lucky for me they're not crazy. I've gotten out to a few places and was going to hit some places in Cambridge tonight, possibly CBC.

Moving to Boston... Where to brew??

I appreciate the insight! I'm psyched about moving to Boston, but am definitely going to miss the amazing selection that has blossomed in Philly in the past few years when it comes to Craft beer. Hopefully I can be proven wrong up in Boston, but I think Philly deserves the title of 'best beer...

My yeast starter sent me to the hospital

Easy to get around, I have my Carboy in a milk crate. This way, I can move it with relative ease and don't have to worry about the bottom of the carboy ****ing up my countertops (again). Only time I ever have to move it without the crate is when I'm cleaning. -RPM

Moving to Boston... Where to brew??

I'm packing up in Philly and getting up to Boston in the next few weeks. Aside from worrying about how well a case of carbonating bottle will do in a moving truck, I'm wondering what's the scoop on the Boston homebrew scene?? Where to shop? Where to drink?? It's all so foreign to me. Any...

    Hello from Philadelphia

Man, if Barry's Homebrew moved into No'Libs I'd be psyched! I'm in Fishtown myself and having a shop in my backyard would be killer. -RPM

    Hello from Philadelphia

There are a few shops in Philly, the one I've been hitting is Home Sweet Homebrew around 21st and Sansom. I know there are a couple more, one in south Philly in particular. It's not surprising considering how beer-centric this city is.

    Hello from Philadelphia

Yo, I'm just starting my brewing endeavors in Philly as well. I'm only on my second batch, a Sierra Nevada clone, but I started with a nut brown. I didn't time it right though, because I depleted my first batch before I started #2. Where are you supplying? Any good shops up on the Manayunk...
