Pretty straight forward question, does an ounce of hops impart the same amount of flavor regardless of AA%? Excluding the extra bitterness from higher AA hops that is. Assuming that's true, which my gut tells me, switching to lower AA hops and upping the amounts would give more hop flavor...

Why do different strains have different attenuation? Shouldn't they all be able to eat the same sugars?

Somehow i ended up with a decent amount of the "white part" in my kettle, do these contain tannins aswell or is it only the husk? Or is some other astringency to be expected? Edit: should be tannins in thread, not astringency...

I've found that rice hulls are kind of hard to find, so what else can you use? I've read that cutting up straw and mixing it in could have some positive effects. But i dont think i'll find any of that until christmas atleast.
