    Bottling Tips for the Homebrewer

Thanks for clarifying that. The brew I was speaking of, was just great, great tasting, good fizz, and tons of head(it lasted a while, too). I wouldn't change a thing.

    Bottling Tips for the Homebrewer

Well, If all that great head on my brew is over-carbonation, I'll stick with it. I doubt if over-carbonation was the cause, I'm told using more than 4 1/2 ounces of sugar is just pointless, so if using more gave more head it would be a part of someones advice, somewhere. :rockin:

    Bottling Tips for the Homebrewer

Lot's of great advice on here. I suppose I need to wait 3 full weeks to get more consistence from bottle to bottle. My only question is, does anybody notice a difference in head from what you use to prime with? I've used pre-packaged "heading" powder and I almost always brew with carapils, but I...

What happens when you substitute ale yeast for lager yeast?

Interesting. I've been using nottingham for all my brews. So, being that I want to brew a bud clone (just to show I can, not cuz it's the end all be all of my brewing) I'll just stick with that, and add some rice, maybe corn. I dunno, the last light colored ale I tried to brew didn't come out...

How do craft/commercial brewers get their beers in stores so fast.

when I first started homebrewing I went from boil to "serve" in 20 days. Damned if I know what kind of yeast I used, I didn't write anything down and thought I could spot it at the supply store (nope, they're always of stuff). Other than that I've been leaving it in the fermentor longer and...

Trying to save my beer; Create small warm area

I dunno, at one week they're usually not very carbed or heady, I'd say just wait another week and see.

    Brewmasters Warehouse

all this plus cheese making as well? I make my own salsa, bread and beer. Now that I think of it I'd love to make my own cheese well.

Iscream, youscream we all scream for lagering!

I too am very interested. I'm coming to the conclusion that lagering is somewhat over-rated. Everything I've brewed so far would be considered Ales, And I'm lovin' 'em!

Finally kegging now. Has anyone else noticed a big improvement in flavor (like me)?

That's fascinating to me. Of course, kegging is just out of the question for me. Just no space. I plan on getting 2 batches going one right after the other, but the hell if I know where I'm even going to stash the bottles! To be honest, I'm not too happy with the carbonation I've gotten out of...

Ale Pail / other standard 6.5 gal bucket

They're cheap, they work like they should, I'm thinking about making a "stand" so I can set one on top of the other and clear the airlock. Easy to clean, easy to dump the wort into. These are perfect for homebrewing. Price Payed: $15.00 Recommended? Yes Pros: works just like it should. Kind of...
