question on use of chest freezer (keezer vs ferm chamber)

I'm sure you could use a freezer for a ferm chamber but I assume most people use their fridge because its a little easier to move around the carboys and I didn't have to buy a temp control device for my fridge I just adjusted it tell it was at the right temp. With a freezer you would either have...

    Good Deal on Keggle?

I don't think he's going to lower the price and I agree with most of you guys that 80-100 is more realistic, however because kegs are so hard to come buy I think i will do it as long as I can fix the top. How hard will it be to repair that cut? I'm assuming I just have to start all over

    sanke fermentor

Just a quick question I have 10 gallons of apfelwein that have been sitting in a sanke for a month I was going to transfer to a secondary for a while. Question is I know I can cut the bottom of the stem off to get it out but I really don't want to do that. What other options do I have? How can I...

    New to force carbonation

If I can throw in my two cents I have tried force carbing and it works ok but the beer is still green. If you really want good beer just let it sit hooked up to co2 at normal serving pressure for a couple weeks and it will be delicious. You may have to dump a pint or two because of sediment but...

Kegging - Prime or Force Carbonate

Not trying to hijack this thread. But I tried naturally carbing my last beer after a week hooked it up to the co2 left it a few days and its not good yet so I'm wondering can I take it back out and put it in the closet a few more weeks? Will it still carb up?

    Blueberry Honey Weizen?

I'm making a blueberry hefey now. The only thing I recommend is using a lot of fruit. I am using frozen blueberries and designing great beers recommends up to two lbs of fruit per gallon of brew because blueberries have a mild flavor

when you keg dont you loose the improvement gained during bottle conditioning?

You can prime a keg the same way you do when bottling. Just use about half the sugar you would use in bottling and put it in the keg before racking your beer on top. What I do from there is hook up the co2 in just because my keg won't seal unless I do that, then unhook the co2 line and Then I...

when you keg dont you loose the improvement gained during bottle conditioning?

You can age a keg as well. You should leave your keg for two weeks anyway, at least, to carb up the right way and to not drink green beer. So that is usually when people start to crack open their bottles anyway. So if you are brewing a barleywine probably wouldn't work the best.

    Beer worth not fermenting.

I think you should give it more time, 15 hours probably just isn't enough time trust the yeast and if you still have issues in 2-3 days then you can worry. However when you say they aren't doing anything, how do you know they aren't doing anything are you relying on the airlock?
