Old Orchard 100% White Grape Juice - May contain sulfites?

I read that this might be a preservative. It does say that it's been pasteurized. On the ingredients it does say "May contain sulfites." This juice is real cheap 50% off right now. You think I should buy some and try it out?

Edwort... I think I screwed up the recipe

I know. lol. With brewing extract I got it down to a tee everytime. Even if I tasted it after a week and it tasted nasty I'd still kn ow it would turn out good. This is just my first all-grain. An d it stopping at 1.020 seems a little high. The yeasty smell with go away I hope.:tank:

I bought the thermometer brand new the same day. A pyrex one. At first I hit the 152 degrees mash temp. I put the top on and it did drop to 149 deg within half an hour. Maybe I didnt put the top on fast enough not sure. I heated it back up to 153. For the hour. I didnt really airete the...

Edworts Hause Ale - fermented down to .1020

Thats not so bad. I guess it will come out to around 4.5% while secondary. It needs to clear for a week or two before bottling.:cross:

Edworts Hause Ale - fermented down to .1020

cool, thanks. I think i'll leave it for 2 weeks in the secondary and then bottle it. Even if its 4% id still be happy. But it going down to 1.020 makes me think it might only come out to 3% ... Hmmm.

Edworts Hause Ale - fermented down to .1020

I assume this would be a super low alcohol beer. As it only went from 1.050 yo 1.020. Im not sure what the exact % would be. I'll keep posting in a week and I hope it goes down some. :cross:

Edworts Hause Ale - fermented down to .1020

Lol, Sorry yeah. I don't think it was a failure. I just thought maybe it was a little too low in alcohol. But I really didnt mean to add an extra half pound of crystal. I accidentally put the whole bag into the crusher with the 2-row without thinking. It looks and smells good though. I'll...
