    Wine from coffee fruit (cherries)

Did my due diligence search but came up with nothing. Thought maybe someone here could chime in. I have access to the juice from coffee cherries. Its quite sweet. Been making beer for ever but have no idea how to make wine from this juice. I received some already fermented but seemed quite...

    Help selecting a still

Fellow HBT'rs. Learned how to brew on HBT about 11 years ago. Over the course of time, I've ended up with my dream set-up. Truly a hobby gone bad! This is the first place I go for answers, so here goes: I've got about 7-800 bux to blow on a still. I need some input from YOU!! How big is too big...

Need a new supplier for all-grain brewing

I have been brewing for about 12 years and always supported my LHBS. Exclusively. Now, for one reason or another, they have started failing miserably. Trying to stay faithful but that means most weekends I can't brew. Now to my question. Of those of you that order online, where do you go to get...

    Solera Red

I got my hands on 2 french oak barrels. 60 gallons each. They look good, smell good and have had nothing in them but a Shiraz / Syrah. It has been a few years since holding wine, but got them both to seal. My plan with one is to fill with a high abv Irish Red, wait a year and periodically remove...

    Mash tun help

Found these yesterday. Each holds about 5 gallons. Bottom drain, all stainless, about 1 and 1/2 inches of insulation. Thinking about a false bottom for a mash tun. Problem is the openings are only about 5 inches. Any suggestions?

    Too Dry IPA

Been brewing for a couple of years and I've ,ade some good ones. To improve my brew I made a couple of fermentation chambers with temp controllers and I think that is where my problem lies. I made a few simple IPA's with late hop additions and put them in the cooler. After a week, they read out...

    Wild hops

A buddy of mine just got back from Oregon and brought me about a pound of wild hops he picked on a friend's property. Have them in the freezer now. Not dried, except during transport in a paper bag. I'm thinking of making a simple IPA, bittering with Columbus and late hops additions with the...

    Add Graham Crackers in Beersmith?

I have searched, in vain, for a way to add different ingredients to the design section of BS. Any ideas?? On a lark I'd like to make a graham cracker ale. I have a recipe, but I'd like to enter it into BS in the ingredient section and not as a note at the end. Any ideas??

Tell me about your brew rig

Am about to invest in a brew rig, probably 15-2500 bux, and am doing my due diligence on the internet. Won't be building as I'm too busy/old and would rather spend my time brewing. Flexibility is important, as I like to experiment with different brews. I would appreciate input from those of you...
