Lucky alright... I work around the block from this place for the last 13 years... Plenty of time in the saddle at the G-man! Anyways, hit me up if your near the Gman or in the city! Southern tier makes some nice beer... But stay away from that bud light (premium or otherwise)!

    Slow to Carb

Bottled my English Porter on 12/11 and tried a few slightly carbed bottles over the holiday break... Taste good (bit green) but no head and no carb bite. I'm only slightly concerned, just seems slow to carb. The beer is an English Porter (loosely based on RCH Old Slug) two week primary...

    Milk Stout Kit Fermentation problem

Sounds like the yeast is slowing down due to the lower temps. My recommendation is to keep it in the primary, and move it to a warmer location (68 - 72 degrees) you might even jostle it a bit to get some yeast back in suspension... but warming it should re-activate the yeast and finish off just...

    Best Beer Bar in NYC?

Having a couple pints at the gingerman, and totally agast their raising their IPA prices and cutting to a 13 oz glass simultaneously. $8 for a 13 oz pour. Ridiculous... If this sticks, I'll find a new bar.

    Handy dandy hide-away work table

Well done sir... this may be my next garage project. I have a treadmill against the wall and it takes up sooo much space. I can see this table over the treadmill, that can easily be stored against the wall when I need to workout.

    Uh Oh!

Doh! I would just leave it in there. just wait till you transfer to secondary or bottle to recover it... or you can spray your arm with star san and go in after it. wont be the first time someone stuck their arm in the beer, I've done it.

    What are you drinking now?

Had a milk stout that I wasn't happy with and buried it in the garage, popped one tonight and it's really nice now. Thinking about naming it Jericho Milk Stout after our cat. Time for another one first.
