    DIY Tap Handle Advice

You might need a jamb-nut set into the top die to secure everything in place. Unless you can run a tap (internal threading tool) through all the dice. In which case you may not even need a connecting nut to attach this to the faucet. Or if you can tap the dice. The top die can become the...

    DIY Tap Handle Advice

20mm hole through the die? That's over 3/4inch  I used a 5/16 or 3/8inch (sorry can't remember) "connecting" nut that I rounded in a lathe (You could do the same thing w/ a drill and a file) and inserted that into the wooden tap handle I had made. *EDIT I see... The dice are 20mm-34mm...

Switching between two kegs in a single kegerator

I don't see any issues coming from inside the lines other than the 'blended' 1st pour. The posts might need to be sanitized before reconnecting them after sitting unconnected though.

I didn't take any pics of the fridge before I started working on the door. I did however take a picture of the temporary door I made so I could start carbing my 1st barrel. Butchered door. Test fitting. LED array wired up and installed behind lens w/ chrome tape applied...

    Mah Kegerator Build.

Thanks Tim! It's exactly how I envisioned it and I can't wait for my 1st pour. I'm going to hook-up a line to the American Cream Ale that's been carbing and taste it this weekend (possibly sunday). I'll also be kegin' the IPA and putting it under pressure. Gotta figure out if I can hold BLC in...

    Mah Kegerator Build.

I still need to run a small bead of caulk around the outside edge of the lens to seal off the light that is creeping through the gaps...and my camera isn't too good at capturing images of lighted objects. But I'm just too damn excited about the way this turned out and have no patience. So I'm...

    sourcing some QD's

We use those couplings at work EVERYWHERE! They hold up great to extreme chemicals/conditions, are easy to use, and easy to modify. The only drawback I've found w/ them is that you cannot mix-and-match between manufacturers even though they appear to be identical to the eye.

    Mah Kegerator Build.

I'm sure I could mill a 'dish' into the piston but I don't know how I would be able to gain enough clearance to slide a card in. Instead of trying to slide a card in through a ring groove an acrylic lens over a label set into the 'dish' would be easy (if I hadn't already glued all the bearing...

    Mah Kegerator Build.

I also had a few old lawn mower pistons and connecting rods laying around. So one became a faucet handle... I'm not sure if I'm going to make a matching one or find an old gear or U-joint. The piston face will make a nice place to write beer names on though. Hmmmm.

    Mah Kegerator Build.

Sure lots of folks build kegerators, but I though I'd share my build experience anyway... I've had the fridge for 9yrs, it was in the 1st house my wife and I bought when we moved in. It's OLD! Late 50's/early 60's GE and certainly not efficient by today's standards. I'd always wanted to make it...
