Hi, I'm still using the original one that I listed on the first post and haven't had any issues with it. On average I am getting about 70% efficiency. Sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more. I'm lazy and it seems to make beer good enough for me so I've never changed anything...

So far my hops are still just hanging in there. The extreme summer heat really beat them up. Although now that it is starting to cool down some more, it looks like my vines may be making a come back. I got about a half an ounce of cascades but that's it so far. I'm hoping that maybe next...

Awesome, thanks for the reply. I pulled one off and broke it open. It's still pretty bright yellow so I imagine it still has some maturing to do. I made a little hop tea out of it to test it out. Has a great smell to it, and was pretty bitter in a quarter cup of hot water.

I've got some first year hops that are flowering. They seem a bit on the smaller side. Maybe the size of a nickle or or so. The Arizona sun did beat them up a little bit, but I'm wondering if I should harvest them now or give them a bit more time. They feel like they've got a bit of spring...

First update.... All 4 of my hops have broken ground and are looking healthy for now. Here's a picture of on my my chinook plants. I live on the East side of Tucson near Broadway and Prudence.

I have dogs as well, so I ended up planting them in the front of my house instead of the back.

I planted 4 rhizomes about a week ago. I planted two cascade and two chinook. Just today one of my chinook vines broke ground. I'll keep you guys posted once they start getting bigger and let you know how they fair the hotter weather during summer.

I did this recipe and it tastes great, however, I got very little aroma. Any ideas why I got next to no aromas with so much hops and dry-hopping? Also I got very little head too.....

Are you guys dry hopping right in the primary or racking to a secondary to dry hop?

Brewing this right now. I've never had Russian River since we don't get it here in Arizona and I've always wanted to try it. I guess I'll settle for the clone. Man oh man was this recipe expensive. I spent just as much on hops that I normally spend on all the ingredients of my recipes lol.

So, Today I decided to test the cream soda and see where it was at. It still needed to be carbed some more and I also though it wasn't quite sweet enough. So I started adding my corn sugar into it slowly. All was going well until all of a sudden it was like I dropped a mentos into a diet...

I did add the sugar and cream soda extract before carbing. Any idea how long it will take to carb on 35 psi?

As the title says, how long does it take for soda to carb in the keg when it's set to 35 psi?

Well, upgrading to 12' lines seemed to have tamed my foamy woes. Thanks for the help guys. I love this site.

Well damn the man..... I did a search on here and read a few topics that recommended 5'. Guess I'll be grabbing more line. It's a good thing I picked up 30' feet of line to use for my soda. I'll just cut that one for my beer for now, then grab more for the soda later since it's still carbing...
