    Is it right?

    Today when I got home the layer is gone but there are no bubbles through air lock. It was a extract and had good very good action for a couple days then settled to a FG of 1.012 in primary took seven days OG was 1.052 smelled and tasted good when going to secondary has been there for 3 days...

    yes there was some star san foam in there, going on day two. I was thinking that that is what it is from but was also told that foam is good and will have no effect on finish cause the ph of the beer kills it on contact.

    I racked an IPA extract into the secondary, now I have a clear layer of liquid about 1/4 inch thick on top is this correct. It was not there in primary
