    Yeah that's what I'm afraid of. If I end up having to dump towards the end of the batch that's fine. I already have another batch in secondary and a third waiting to be brewed once equipment frees up.

    It's a red ale recipe I got from the local HB shop. I am assuming it is infected because there is about a dime size of white matter at the bottom of that glass. I could be wrong though.

    and I am pretty pleased with it. I'm kinda bummed that it's a little infected but it doesn't have any bad tastes too it. Maybe a little oily but I can live with that. :rockin:

    Thanks. I had never really considered aluminum but looking at the prices, I think I will do a little more research into it. Worst comes to worst, I could buy an aluminum one to use for now and later on buy stainless if I'm not happy and retire the aluminum to a HLT.
