    Mashing HELP!!

So i screwed up on my first partial mash... instead of adding 1 quart per 2lbs of grain as the sparge water like the instructions in the kits from Austin Homebrew Supply say, i did this for the strike water, added my IPA grains, and now it looks like oatmeal and is at 120 degrees heating up...

    Airlock Question

I plan on making a batch tonight, but will be away on vacation all of next week. Will the water stay in my airlock that whole time, or will it evaporate? Thanks for the help. Cheers!

Putting faucets on the side of a Mini Fridge

Is it possible to drill faucet holes on the side of a Sanyo 4912 mini fridge? Or is it necessary to put a tower on top of the thing? I would put a tower on, but i recently came across a great deal for some faucets and shanks.

    Preparing the Priming Sugar

So in one of my kits it said to prepare the priming sugar, you must add it to 2 cups of boiling water and stir for 5 minutes. my question is, do you keep the water boiling? or do you just add the sugar to the boiling water and turn the heat off while stirring?

    Misread the Hydrometer...

So this is my first batch of brewing and i toally misread the hydrometer and was off by a decimal place. As a result, I know I added too much water. After 8 days of fermenting i took a reading (properly) and the Specific gravity is at 1.012, quite a low alcohol content if i'm not mistaken...

Is this a good Kegging System?

Hi I'm new here and was wondering if this system was good to start. http://www.homebrewing.org/Homebrew-Kegging-System_p_69.html I don't need anything fancy, just a simple Cornelius kegging system because I am sick of bottling all the time. If it's a bad one, any suggestions?
