Here we go again - DIY chiller/trunk line

You can call it what you want, but you can't deny it's a cool idea! :mug: Just working out the logistics, and the WAF... Anyone have a good idea for a very narrow tap tower that I can get past the wife? She's not digging the cobra tap - It's going to be too tall

Here we go again - DIY chiller/trunk line

Thanks Newsman, I have read through that thread (And just about every other trunk build I can find). My original build from 2010 is here: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/my-beer-line-chiller-build-162665/ Basically, I'm trying to DIY a commercial glycol power pack, since I already have...

Here we go again - DIY chiller/trunk line

There's actually a question at the bottom if you want to skip the long version... We're moved into the new house, and it's time to get going on a draught system. The kegerator is in the basement, almost exactly under the kitchen sink upstairs. The other day, a buddy and I were standing in...

I'm not in IBU - I considered it, but never got around to it. I haven't been active in a while. I was building an electric single tier. Now, when I get back to it, I'm leaning toward an electric 10 gallon BAIB. We'll have to see... Everything that is left is noted in the OP

The contactors are designed for 3-phase. The only difference between single phase 240v and 3-phase contactors is that the 3-phase contactors have 1 extra pole. In other words, a single phase contactor has 2 or 3 individual "switches" built in, and 3-phase contactors have 4. All that matters...

    My Beer line chiller build

How times change - I haven't brewed in almost 2 years now, am married, moved, and have a 1 year old... The house this was in is sold, and the entire rig is in storage. In fact, I'm placing this chiller for sale in my "For Sale" thread here:

@WileE65, timmber, cank, evandena The hose is 1/2" ID thick wall. It's got to be close to 3/4 but I'd have to bust out the caliper. And I lied about the quantity - I dug it out and I have 3 unopened 50' bags, and another 20' loose. WileE65, timmber, and cank have dibs on the 50's and...

    One Barrel Brewery

Is there any reason a guy couldn't just dimple the inner tubing every 1/4" or so? Think pinch it 25% or so between a couple 1/4" bolts every 1/4" rotating as you go. Might help.

    Two sizes of beer lines...

That's called an Oetiker clamps. Use a screwdriver or side cutter to pry up the tab on the side. It'll pop apart
