I love my Thermapen... thanks to my wife, errr Santa.

I just got my 40 plate chiller today! I was planning on gravity feeding the wort through the chiller and recirculating the chilling water in an ice filled cooler/bucket. Is anyone doing it this way? Do you have a better idea? Thanks for your help.:)

Were you using a pump of gravity feed? I just bought the chiller from Keg Cowboy. I can't wait to use it. Thanks.

I started with 5' and had tons of foam, at 10' it's perfect for me at 12 psi.

I purchase the IT equipment for my firm and have seen the good, bad, and the ugly from most big name brands. Currently I would advise you to take a look at the Dell Vostro 3500. It's nicely built at a great price, and if you can live with a preconfigured (Fast Track) machine they will overnight...

I think that would be a good move... When I brewed the beer (following the instructions 100% BTW) I was blown away with the lemony scent of the hops and would have expected more the of lemon in the finished product. For the record: the beer was great as is, but a little more lemon would rock...

Or try what I do... I've two friends that I converted, and now they are paying for my kits and I'm brewing the beer and that works for us. Congrats for conversion!

To quote the wisdom above: "I'm not out to win any races, I'm out to make tasty beer." Well said sir... well said! I'm learning this the hard way... I had a beer that we "thought" tasted great, but 2/3 weeks later I was wishing I had waited, because it was so much better, but I had so little left.
