    Hello from Portland, OR

Wow, how much time has passed since I created this intro! I'm happy to say, two years later, I finally have my first batch of Irish Red Ale fermenting in the closet :D

Have you found "The" beer to end all beers

I've thought I had, only to revisit the same beer a year later and find it was nothing I had remembered. My tastes definitely change.

    The New Guy From Vegas

Welcome! My girlfriend and I are considering a move to Vegas in a year or two. She's lived there before and loved it but I'm a little apprehensive. I've always lived in Portland and I'm sure I'll miss the brew scene here, but I'm ready for a change. Are there many brewpubs down there?

    Greetings from Kuwait

Man, that's a scary proposition, brewing in a middle eastern country that doesn't allow alcohol. I'd be worried posting this on an open forum for fear of them catching wind of it. Do you know any other homebrewers over there? What happens if you're caught drunk?

Where's you're favorite place to have a pint in Portland?

I like to think I've been to quite a few places around the city, but to be honest I haven't really even scratched the surface. Looking to hear from others about their favorite places :mug:

    Portland Microbrewery

I agree, the organic brewfest was great. Did you make it to any other local pubs? I was going to recommend one of my personal favorites, Alameda, but you'll have to note that for your next visit now ;)

    Miller Lite vs. Bud Light

Miller Lite by far. I used to love Bud Light when I was younger. For some reason it just tasted good. I suppose my brain wasn't done growing yet, cause now I can't stand to drink that stuff. Sadly, I still prefer a Miller Genuine Draft or Miller High Life on a hot summer day over most micros...

    Hello from Portland, OR

Good to see some other locals here :) I've actually been there once with a good friend of mine, Dave Dronkowski. What an amazing group of guys! I need to get more info regarding proper etiquette when it comes to bringing something of my own or just wait until I brew my first batch. I'd hate...

    Hello from Portland, OR

Thanks for the welcome Pappers. Honestly, I think to start out I'd like to find out which beer is easiest for a beginner to brew and make palatable, then go from there. I like almost all styles of beer, so the order in which I brew them doesn't matter too much :)

    Hello from Portland, OR

Hey guys, great to be here. I'm blessed to be able to say I was born in the great beer city of Portland, OR, where I still live today. I can honestly say I don't know the first thing about home brewing, but that's why I'm here. I look forward to getting to know everyone and learning a lot...
