    Motorized Mill Gear Motor Sources

That would be perfect if it was half the price. All the "surplus" stuff is long gone eh??

    Motorized Mill Gear Motor Sources

I have searched here and many other forums and I cannot seem to find a current source for a gear motor that is suitable for a mill. Does anyone know where I can find one?? I would like to get either a 2 roller or 3 roller 2" monster mill ordered up and the appropriate motor to drive it...

    Finally, A Brewstand!!

I think I may just add another horizontal run of stainless tube right below the top to hide wires.

    BCS Control Panel

    BCS Control Panel

Those are helpful. I'll start reading. Do the 24v furnace gas valves need an SSR or with the BCS do the switching??

    Finally, A Brewstand!!

On a side note, where does everyone run the wiring for the pumps, and temp probes?? I would imagine that the top rail would be to hot to run wire through for temp probes. The bottom would probably work for the pumps. Also, where do you monitor temperature?? I have ports in all three...

    BCS Control Panel

Now that I'm going on my stand (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/finally-brewstand-274025/) I need to get the controls figured out. I searched and searched and can't find what I'm looking for. Does anyone have a link to a thread or document that shows how to wire up a control panel for use...

    Finally, A Brewstand!!

Finally got going on my brew stand. All stainless. Can't wait to wrap it up. It's all tacked together now for the mockup. I'll weld it all together solid once I finish up the splash guard for the pumps.

    Jaybird's Stainless False Bottoms

Jay, Let's assume 20oz whole and pellets as a worse case scenario. What would you recommend?? Do you have a product that will work?? Thanks Jeremiah

    Jaybird's Stainless False Bottoms

Thanks Jay. One question, is a false bottom the way to go in the boil or do you have a different "hop stopper" kind of option??

    Jaybird's Stainless False Bottoms

I agree. I'm about to finally get my "brutus" clone wrapped up. I hope to be brewing by the end of this month. Any deals on false bottoms and dip tubes coming soon??

Temperature probe placement in Keggle MLT?

Yes, good point. I didn't think about that. Maybe just put 4 gallons in there and put the hole below that. That way when you have 3+ gallons of water and grain in there you should be good to go.

Temperature probe placement in Keggle MLT?

Put 5 gallons of water in the keg and make the hole lower than the water level.

    Jaybird's Stainless False Bottoms

A pic would be great!! Pellet hops?? The largest/only west coast pellet hop producer is 1/4 mile from my house. ( www.indiehops.com ). I like whole hops but man they are convenient!!

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

Just kegged up a batch. 3 weeks in primary and 3 days in the keg. It has a weird sour/appley taste on the finish. Can't really taste the malt backbone or the hops. Will it mellow out?? OG 1.065, FG 1.006. Used Safale-05

    DIY soda blaster

    HERMS temp measuring questions

I wonder if the temps would equalize within a reasonable amount of time?? I always thought that people monitored the hex output and called it the mash temp. Now I'm confused. I was planning on monitoring both temps in the BCS anyway but which is right??

    HERMS temp measuring questions

Just to clarify, is the grain bed or the hex output monitored as the "mash temp"??
