    Yeah I'm using a bucket with an airlock... it's a pretty strong seal... maybe my last batch had a more vigorous fermentation than this one... but last time I had to clean my air lock three or four times with in the first 10 days... this time nada... I do have a hydrometer but I forgot to measure...

    I bottled it... I tasted a little of it before I bottled it and it tasted very good (except for the fact that it was flat) and had a great aroma... but I'm excited about drinking it in a couple weeks... I'll let you all know how it turned out!

    Mold????

    I went to bottle my beer today and noticed that there is mold in the airlock... I used vodka in my airlock and there isn't any mold that I can see growing in my beer. It's currently in a Better Bottle Carboy and I'm not sure if I should go ahead a bottle it... I don't want to bottle it and wait...

    Airlock problem... is my beer ruined?

    Hey guys, I'm a first time brewer and I started my batch last night. When I put the airlock on my fermenter some of the sanitation solution leaked into the bucket. The solution was water with a some powder sanitizer dissolved in it? Maybe a tablespoon and and a half leaked into the bucket...
