    How much should I mash?

I guess since the special b and caramunich can be steeped that there is no need to mash then or do you get something by mashing them? I assume all grain brewers mash specialty grains because it is easier to just add them to your mash

Lemon Wheat Tea Beer Recipe needed

Thanks for the suggestions. Your recipe seems fine. I figure a couple bags of each tea tossed in at flameout and taste at bottling and add some more if wanted. The lemon is the trickiest for sure. I have went through many lemon zest posts on this site but not sure which way to go. It is a...

Lemon Wheat Tea Beer Recipe needed

Hey everybody Up here in Ontario, one of our great local breweries, Mill Street, has released a lemon tea beer. Unlike some of the other big boy lemon beers, this one is just right, not to much but enough and damn refreshing in this super hot weather. It gives the ingredients on the can...

    Wild high gravity beer

I think its wild just becase its an 18% beer. I would not be worried about it being cloudy, it is an imperial wheat after all. I am just a newb but I think I would let the hefe yeast go til it slows and then add the high gravity yeast finish up. Here is the link...

    Wild high gravity beer

HI I found a really interesting high gravity beer, Wild Ass Beer in the tasty brew recipe site. For this recipe (which contains 17lbs of wheat extract) they say to add your super gravity yeast after 3 days of your hefe yeast and continue to transfer to another carboy every 10 days til...

    Hoppy Barleywine recipe

So would you just take the dfh 90 recipe, up it to get the gravity, add a week of sugar additions and high tolerance yeast, and add some dry hop additions? I pretty new at this and wouldnt want all that work and time to go to waste. I guess I could run some ideas through some brew software and...

Hi all. I am an extract brewer and love dogfish head 120. I know this brew is tough even doing all grain. So.... I would like to formulate a extract recipe with a similar taste. I have made a DFH 90 which turned out really well, (actually better) so i thought I could take those basic...
