    yea my stuff is still uncarbed, i was hoping for that. but since the fermentation is done doesnt that mean the cider is ready? I've done alot of reading on the site and it said for it to sit for 2-3months, but also could be ready in a couple weeks. so last night i cold crashed it, but now...

    thanks for the quick response. i did not take a reading before i started my ferment (which i should have done). but the taste of the cider has no hint of alcohol to it. curious on why this is, but i guess we will have to wait until Thursday to really see if the cider packs a punch. once again...

    unpasturized cider. safale 4 yeast cane sugar were my ingredients. i let 1st prime for 2 weeks (in my basement which was like 65degrees) before 2nd prime. i tried to measure the alcohol content to day (2 weeks later) and 0% reads on the hydrometer. Tastes like watered down apple cider, no carb...

    think i just f***'d up

    i have unpasteurized cider. with safae4 yeast.. let it sit for about 2.5 wks. was just about to taste it and got all mixed up again. so im not to sure if i should let is settle again or just put in the secondary. i dont want all my settlement in my cider..

    i went to start my secondary today and while i was taking my cap off my bucket i accidentally shook up the 1st prime. now that my settlement is all mixed in again what are my options at this point. do i have to wait another 2-3 wks before i start my secondary? not to happy right now.

    i figure for the 5 gallon i will be more confident when i know the outcome...... for siphoning the cider, anyone have any good tip. i know sanitation is the name of the game, and using your mouth to siphon cant be the best way to do it, friend said a pump possibly.

    the thing that im a little freaked out about is that i have a gallon brewing and most of the post here people are brewin 5 gallons... i have a 2-5gallon carboys but since it was the 1st time i didnt want to mess up 5 gallons worth of cider..if all works i will brew the 5 gallon.... it seems like...
