hey all, i read through some of the threads....i had to, just to get the hang of getting my pump primed to begin with. questions......i am still doing extract until i get this whole new process down. so right right i prime right at the beginning when i boil a little water to sanitize my...

not much progress lately....I did get my pump and chiller properly mounted. and have adorned it with the proper decal. still working on the gas manifold...obviously..ha. already brewing on it...just hooking directly to one of the burners....getting there....slowly! :ban:

thanks for all the replies. i think i am gonna go with the SS...and get the valves on the site, so i dont have to muck with this crap anymore! it does suck that i already have 3 valves....with no packaging..grrr..oh well. thanks for all the help. i think i can make my order and finally get er...

hmm....the SS line looks cool. why is my valve wrong in this application? i've seen a lot of people using these valves. they are made for gas....did i miss something?

hey guys... I have been delaying finishing up my stand. all is done except for the gas manifold which I am reallllllly having a hard time with. i have posted several times but still havent come up with the fittings and such and i am just plain frustrated. I am using hard piping. 1/2"...

i thought about going that route....but I had a bayou classic before and quite honestly....i didnt care for it. it felt light and thin compared to my 30QT polarware kettle. I have all my valves and such.....just no kegs...guess i put the cart before the horse..ha.

huh....i had never seen these before. only drawback being I already have my 3 pc SS ball valve...and the sabco comes with 2 couplers instead of one. I'm looking to have a sight glass and such so the holes already being drilled would be grrrrreat. they are also sold out right now... :(

hmmm.....i'd never seen this site. they are actually the same price less about $4. I cannot see a big picture so I am not sure where the couplers are placed....so I would like to contact him to see. The shipping is the same as well...so I would much rather buy from a fellow homebrewtalk member...

hey all....i have been looking for used kegs for what seems FOREVER. well i have given up....I found these from sabco that have the couplers welded on already. Does this look like my best option? I have my valves already but I will need a temp gauge and would like a sight glass. anyone see...

thats the exact one that I made. i LOVE it. I cannot stand those little hop bags where you have to untie the sticky strings.

I use this already...the paint strainer DIY put on this board. cannot remember by who. it's worked well but I still get some hop sludge. Really dont wanna get my plate chiller stuck during the process. A friend of mine that does AG brews uses the whirlpool method and it seems to work well for...

thats not the big deal. the big deal is clogging up my pump and or plate chiller.

thanks for the reply. it's really not a lot. since i am doing extract my grain is limited. It's mostly hop particulate....i use a DIY hop strainer during my boil but still have some that i usually run through a strainer doing my old way of pouring the wort into a funnel.

wow...in just a few days this beer has really mellowed out into a great tasting fruit beer. i'm very pleased, and i would definitely brew it again. When I switch to AG!!! woop woop
