    Starter from corn sugar?

I have an AHS Texas Blonde Ale kit, partial-mash, partial-boil that I am brewing tomorrow. I also have White Labs liquid Kolsch ale yeast to use with it. I was wondering if it would be beneficial to make a starter for this as it is a relatively low gravity beer (4.5%?). However, all I have...

    Tripel IPA after 2 weeks...

Oh, it is definitely like a tripel with a little extra hops. Has a fruity, heady, Chimay-like character to it. One of the few pre-carbed samples I've ever tried that tasted fantastic. Used White Labs WLP500 yeast. Surely I'm not the only one out here that has tried AHS Tripel IPA kit...

    Tripel IPA after 2 weeks...

    Tripel IPA after 2 weeks...

    Tripel IPA after 2 weeks...

So I brewed up an extract kit (AHS Tripel IPA) on 01/23 that my SWMBO bought me for Christmas. Normally, I try to do partial-mash, but my lady got what she thought I might like...Very nice. My OG was 1.081. Pitched two vials of WLP500 + the recommended "Yeast Fuel" and not much happened with...

Thanks for answering my n00b questions, folks! Once I get home from my day job, I'll put on my brew hat and check the stuff out. I'll let you know how it turns out.

    Pitching temp

Hello all. My first post here. I've been lurking for a few weeks and have learned a great deal so far. Anyway, on my second batch (BB kit: California Imperial Pale) everything was going pretty well with the boiling, etc. I cooled the wort down to ~72F using the ice bath method in the...
