I too am a big fan of PBW. How ever in a thread here I learned how to make PBW from TSP and Oxyclean. @seatazzz just be a bit cautious using PBW, don't leave it in too long and always rinse your hands after using it. I mainly use Sanke Kegs and cleaning them is accomplished using PBW.

It's that time of year for hops to mature for cultivation. I cut down my Nuggets as they are already beginning to turn brown. Cascades and Saaz are still maturing.

Never have, of course I'm a clean fanatic. There is no distinguishable hop aroma in my fermenter before I sanitize it.

Wow. IMO purging pre-cleaned kegs with fermentation gas is a big cost savings. I wait until the fermenting vessel is at high krausen before beginning to purge empty kegs. Then I connect a hose from the gas in side of the fermenter, (same port as the blow off hooks to) with the other end...

Yesterday I moved my Raider Red Ale to the beer fridge to cold crash until late tomorrow. Then today I updated my chalk board with all the current beers on tap. The Raider Red will go on tap later in the week after it gets transferred to a keg.

My newest and current favorite is "Julio Uno Lago" a Mexican style lager brewed on July 1st. And it turned out to be a great lawnmower brew that is lite straw in color about 5 percent abv with a hint of Saaz that goes down oh so easy.
