Broken Crow, thanks mate, I have managed to get mine temporary working a few times but the compressor is on FIRE! it's actually always been like that and the radiators at the side give off massive heat, it could be a compressor and a relay issue with mine
I am in Beijing, I've bought 2 kegs from Kegland, 1 x 4 litre and 1 x 9.1 litre, I'm finding it impossible for someone to fill them with Co2, did anyone get anywhere with finding supplier in China?
I finally managed to get to the city and cracked open the FV today, I was expecting all sorts, but it smells/looks normal! The batch was brewed September 21st 2021 and bottled today 5th July 2022 around 9/10 months since brewing..... the main issues I can foresee are off flavours due to it...
I actually have an IPA that has been sat in fermentation for 9 months now, I'm unable to get to the city it's located in, this will be an interesting one! watch this space haha:p
Thanks Jtratcliff, I was thinking of putting the 25c(77F)/30c(80F) wort into the stainless steel conicle (with an S type Airlock) then chill it with a glycol chiller until it is the right pitching temperature for dry yeast, is this acceptable?
What about a stainless steel conicle Fermenter? i've just bought a Grainfather one, looking to make my first Helles this weekend and it's unknown territory for me, the ground water here is still a bit warm around 22-25c so want to chill it with the Grainfather chiller then pitch dry yeast into...
Apologies if this has been asked 100 times… quick question, how long is too long in primary fermentation? i’ve left a Hefeweizen and a Belgium White Ale in Primary for about 12 ish weeks …. still good to go for bottling or bin them?
You're making a lot of sense and yes no scorching or flames thankfully, although I do have stomach scars to prove that it is very very hot after boiling!
I'll give it a go on Brewday which is Sunday hopefully.
