For Sale PicoBrew Pro / PicoStill / extra kegs

Of course no more pico paks but I was using this in manual mode anyway, which works fine.

For Sale PicoBrew Pro / PicoStill / extra kegs

Moving to a bigger system so figured I'd pass this setup on for someone looking to do smaller batches. Everything is fully functional, only used a few times. Everything is in excellent condition, with all parts/paperwork included as well as the original boxes for the Pico and the Still. Can...

I can attest to this. They didn't state exactly why but I'm guessing the reason for the refund is they do not plan on honoring the warranty, since they are now defunct. Although it's unfortunate, it does ease the blow because the warranty is the only reason I bought a new Pico Pro directly...

    Pico Pro Manual kit

Really disappointed. They had better open up the server for us then; I don't care if the new owners agree or not. I just bought this thing based on warranty coverage and ease of use and I might end up owning an expensive paper weight now. I knew I should've cancelled my order when I had the...

I am also planning a 1 gallon brew in the next day or two. I'm following a recipe from brewer's friend and there is a hop addition at flame out. Since I am letting the wort cool overnight and not using a chiller, as with other methods, should I still add the hops as soon as I turn off the heat...

That's great that you've been able to get some good use out of your pico. I hope to do the same, but if they go under I don't think I'll be able to send mine in if I have a problem. At that point it would become, as some have said, an expensive paper weight. This is my worry right now, having...

Maybe they needed to offload picopaks due to shelf life? I don't think they stay fresh long. And maybe they decided to discontinue the line altogether while they were at it? Maybe selling off the actual Pico machines and other inventory will offset expenses? Just speculating... Came across...

Thanks for putting the time in Knightshade! I too hope it is just part of restructuring but I'm sure there's a way to make it work if we have to.

So does this mean we won't need to connect to anything to brew? And/or we can take over the tracking process somehow if we can get a copy of the backend db?

Unless this is a preemptive move to stabilize financially due to COVID19? If not, I guess I'll use my newly purchased Pico Pro til it dies...sigh.

    Pico Pro Manual kit

That would probably work, since I've heard of a problem with the GF where the filter falls off and the pump gets clogged. The bigger bag hanging over the sides would probably help the pull cord not get sucked in too, I would think.

Cool thanks for the info! Yeah, I also tore my first one apart to look. lol I'll look into the crushed to compare.

    Pico Pro Manual kit

Have you had doughballs in the past? I'm fermenting my first kit right now but plan to do manual for the next. However, I'm just getting started with all grain. They mentioned clogging the pump, which scares me; do you guys have a suggested mill size for these types of bags or is there a...

    Pico Pro Manual kit

That's a good tip Wheelman! Actually, someone on the PB forum suggested the same so I'll be sure to get a bigger bag for sure. Thanks!

    Pico Pro Manual kit

Thanks for the reply! Yes, 16x22 is the correct size for the grain bag. Here is the response I received from PB for anyone else that finds themselves needing these; see below: Hop bags should be a semi fine mesh of roughly 150 micron (translates to 100 mesh) Grain bag should be of a medium...

    Pico Pro Manual kit

Greetings! First post here. I just received my Pico Pro, (it shipped just before the shut down), and I only ordered one Picopak with it. I figured I would order the manual kit (unpak'd) and try my own from there, but it's been out of stock for awhile and now with the shut down I don't expect...
