Still new to brewing, any reason why after 17 days my fg is only 1.024? Noticed everyone is fermenting way out.

Well, now that I ordered 100’ of 3/16 tubing. I realized what the other problem most likely was. I bought a picnic tap assembly. I did not piece it myself, and what my lhbs sold me came with 5/16 ID tubing.:smh:

I believe the one I was using was on beer smith. And yes I did release the pressure. I just used straight formula, didn’t have anything to do with flow rate or anything. I did see the one you posted as well and I didn’t really bother with it being that it says a lower flow rate increases foam...

Oops, I guess I didn’t necessarily mean that. Does the burning when you smell it ever change? Or is that something that happens with every brew and is still there when you open a bottle?

Do I just bottle it as is or let it keep sitting? Will the co2 disepate or it is what it is?

Funny enough, that comment is actually perfect! I was hoping to boost the sweetness as I’m more of a fruity drinker. This recipe just sounded pretty darn good and wanted to give it a try. Started wondering though if the puree would really just impart more of just flavor and not the sweetness...

Just bottled the “grandpa willies hard root beer” this site has. Completely new to brewing still. After about 8-9 hours of carbing in bottles, they were all actually over carbed. Do I just need to uncap and recap as I did or is there an infection. As I’m not sure what these “gusher” terms are...

Also, I was extremely careful to sanitize everything. The only thing I could think of is when I realized I forgot the vanilla I opened all the bottles. Put in 1/10ths of vanilla in each and recapped
