    Omega Lutra yeast?

    I saw this advertised in one of my magazines. it is supposed to mimic a lager at ale temps. I'm excited to try it but haven't been able to find it. Has anyone used this yeast and how does it perform.

    Hot Head yeast (omega)

    Has anyone tried this yeast yet. I am very excited if it works. Fermentation temp up to 98 degrees. For us in south Florida keeping our homebrew cool enough is a year round problem. I ordered some and should be in next week.

    Can wheat malt be substituted for flaked wheat

    Preparing to do a NEIPA I don't want to buy flaked wheat when I have bulk wheat malt available. Can I substitute one for the other? is there a conversion. Sorry if this is a stupid question.

    Question: Mash tun and False Bottom

    So I tried my first all grain brew yesterday. The recipe call for 14.6 quarts of strike water. however I loose approximately 8 quarts under the false bottom, and the rest of the water does not cover my grains. should I leave it be or add more water to cover grains.
