Nukatap and/or Intertap individual part availability?

Ok, so they are not exact matches, but close. The diameter on both the rubber friction washer (top) and the nylon ball washer (bottom) are exact, but you can see a slight difference in thickness (new ones on the left, originals on the right). However, I installed both on one of my Nukataps and...

Nukatap and/or Intertap individual part availability?

Just received these on Saturday but won't have time to verify the fit for a few days. However, they look exactly like the same washer in my Nukataps. Ordered from Hobby Homebrew.

Imperial Stout Russian Imperial Stout (2011 HBT Competition Category Winner)

Honestly, I wouldn't even worry about adjusting the mash temp unless you absolutely don't want to risk going under 1.028. According to the specs I have seen, 1.024 is the lowest S-04 or Lutra will go anyway with that grain bill and OG. You'd be looking at a difference between about 10.5% and 11%...

Nukatap and/or Intertap individual part availability?

I believe so. I’ll find out soon enough.

Nukatap and/or Intertap individual part availability?

I believe they are called ball washers? Not sure if someone would be able to confirm this, but I am pretty sure this is it: https://www.beveragecraft.com/faucet-ball-washer https://www.kegoutlet.com/fa70105-taprite-standard-faucets-replacement-parts.html...

Blonde Ale Kona Big Wave Golden Ale clone

I recently spoke to a rep at AB and he read an email reply regarding the discrepancies between the Hawaiian and mainland Kona websites. The email stated that the difference in the posted IBU and SG is simply due to the difference in the brewing process and equipment at each location, with the...

    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

As far as the siphonless LBMB’s go, I’d go with the plastic over the glass version. I prefer stainless steel or glass fermenters, but I own(ed) two of the glass versions and the glass cracked where they drilled the hole for the spigot. I still have two of the ones without the spigot and they...

    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

Under normal circumstances, I would either just leave the Tilt in or not use the Tilt at all for beers that need to lager or age (I usually just leave it in). However, if these are only small “test batches”, the risk is not as big. A lot of people still transfer to a secondary, so look at it...

Seriously the easiest DIY ever for bottling bucket dip tube

I still bottle from time to time and still use the same PVC elbow. I didn't make any modification on the threaded side though. A simple rubber or silicone washer seals it well enough.

    Imperial Darkness - Issues?

No. I may have been all over the place here. RIS - Brewed mid to late 2021 with yeast starter from pack #1. Scottish ale - brewed mid to late 2021 with yeast from pack #1 Milk stout - brewed late 2021 with yeast starter from new pack (#2) Smoked porter - brewed late 2021 with starter from pack...

    Imperial Darkness - Issues?

The head scratching is actually because it has happened with two different overbuilt starters (that info was buried in the first paragraph of my long winded post). I suppose there’s the possibility of both of the starters picked up some contaminant, and I’d be more likely to believe that if this...

    Imperial Darkness - Issues?

I overbuild starters with all of my liquid yeast and save some for the next starter. I usually do about a handful of starters before starting over with a new pack. I'd have to look, but I believe the latest pack purchased in October and I was planning on adding some to my next order anyway. The...

    Imperial Darkness - Issues?

I have been a big fan of Imperial Darkness for awhile. I use it for pretty much every dark-ish to dark beer that I brew. It starts and finishes pretty quick (?) and attenuates well. Here's my problem. I have had a few bottle conditioned/aged brews in the past year that ended up over-carbed. The...

Dry yeast manufacturers… could you please up the 11g packet size?

I just read in the January/February 2022 issue of Zymurgy that Fermentis has made their dry yeast available in 100 gram packets.

Anyone have experience with Imperial G03?

I have used WLP029 a few times for a Kolsch that my wife really enjoys. I did the same recipe a few times with K-97 before switching to WLP029, and the difference between the brews was even bigger than I thought it would be.

If it’s tough to choke down, you could always blend it with another, lighter beer.
