    I brewed a pale ale today. 1050 og .4 oz Columbus 60 min, 1 oz each mosaic and Eldorado at 5 mins. Im gonna dry hop with 1 oz of mosaic n Eldorado.

    coffee beers

    just an update. I added 2.5 ounces of coarsely ground coffee to the porter. worked fine but I think my coffee choice was wrong. medium roast starbucks made coffee to bitter. not the sweet fruity coffee flavor I was after.

    Ok so I have been posting a few threads about PH and that got me wondering about brewing salt additions. If your not adding salts to adjust your PH do you adjust your water profile? I'm curious because I brew with distilled water. Lets hear all your pros and cons.

    I never used Bru'n water before. Just found out about it yesterday. will try it next time. I never added anything to my sparge water. I added all adjustments to mash water So I was sparging with straight distilled water. Sounds like that could be a problem
