    Goose Island 312 Clone Discussion

I was always under the impression that 312 was an English Wheat. I pick up the Cascade aroma and can picture this beer fermented with an English Yeast. WYeast 1968 possibly.

    Cream Ale

I made the Cream Alre from the Brewers Best kit. It is currently in my secondary right now. When I transfered it from Primary to Secondary I siphoned off a glass. I really enjoyed the taste, but would like to get a "vanilla" taste in it. Where would I add "Vanilla" to this? When I transfer to...

First brew in the bottle...quick question

It was the VERY last bit out of the bucket. So I would assume that was the "not so good" taste that I was getting. Like I said....when I transfered from Primary to Seconday it was AWESOME tasting! However, the "bottom" of the bucket on bottling day was not so good. :(

OK...I just bottled my first home brew. It is an "American Ale" from a Brewers Best kit. It spent 1 week in the Primary (plastic bucket) then 1 week in my secondary (5 gallon carboy) and then into the bottling bucket with the priming sugar. I siphoned off a glass when I was transfering to...

1st time brewer question - Hydrometer

I picked up my "Brewers Best" beginners kit on Saturday at the store. I chose to make the "American Micro Style" Ale for my first beer. I read the multiple sets of directions very thoroughly and I now have one question... I have my wort in the 6.5 gallon fermenter. It has a lid with a hole...
