How do I know if I have the older design or newer? I received my 7g fermenter back in May.

I went with an upright freezer for the fermenter. I kept talking myself out of the glycol system. Attached is a picture. Is till need to build a shelf to fit it over the hump with the casters.

Has anyone received their G4? Mine came in and is an absolute beast. I am missing a couple of accessories though. I haven’t been able to get ahold of Blichmann and been over a week. Frustrating.

did you purchased any quick connect accessories? I bought the 1/4” flare to attach a balllock to it. Debating if I should get a barb fitting as well. Not sure if I need 3/8 or 1/2.

Can the aseptic valve be used as a sample port? Do you find it a pain to unscrew, add a bard, just to rack?

Is the concern with smaller gravity or larger?

my typical batch is 12 to 16lbs.

I’ve attached a picture of the measurment. I decided to stay with 3.5”legs. I’m a little disappointed how high it is. Hopefully I’m not wasting to much wort below the legs and have enough water to submerge the grains!

I measured my heating element at 3”, and was going to get 3.5”legs. Is that to high? What is everyone else selecting?

Cool idea with the silicon tubing blocking unused holes. I’ll see if I can get that to work.

Hello, what length probe should I get for the Spike Kettle? Half port will be at 1.5” mark. My understanding the NPT ports stick out of the kettle, so I wasn’t sure if I should go with 2.5” instead of the recommend 2” probe you find on the Electric brewery.
