I'm on the third batch in the conical. Trub dump at 48 hours seems to be the most common recommendation, so that's what I've been doing. I've been kegging all my batches at 2 weeks. IPAs and the blonde, no point in letting them secondary for long.

Last batch I just rotated the racking arm down into the yeast, harvested a quart (10 gallon batch) into a sanitized container, cleaned/sanitized the fermenter and pitched it later that day. That beer came out great. WLP001 for an American Blonde repitched to an IPA.

I don't know what their setup is, I pressurize with CO2 and rack to the keg out port with a 1/4" ID line. Takes a while but will not touch any oxygen that way.

I've been using a bulb inside a paint can for a couple years, works fine. Don't suspect your pot will cause any issues.

Depends on the need. I usually leave it unplugged, sometimes it ends up being cold keg storage.

I'm considering doing this to a Blonde Ale I made that isn't very clear. Have to move the kegs for a wedding a month from now. If I do, I have a 1/4in hose with black ball locks on either end. Pour the sludge out of the tap then move the clear beer to a new keg without worrying about stirring...
