Where do folks enjoy buying 55lbs grain sacks when you have no LHBS?

I’d hit up small brewery for the sack grain. Bring cash. Two row is less than $30 a bag

High Strength Vinegar for Weed Killer

I've got some acreage with a weed issue. I'd like to ferment this myself in some 5 gal. buckets. I'm guessing some high gravity sugar water will work with starter made from some apple cider vinegar (the kind that says "with the mother"). Any tips?

Anyone get upset with a streak of bad beer?

Last year I ruined summer by making three different saisons, which I hated them all. Turns out I really don’t like saisons and they give me hangovers.

Ice water in wort for cooling

I used to put my kettle in my sink with ice water in the sink at that stage

    Lacto-fermented flavored soda water

Just keg the kombucha and carb it up with co2. You can add fruit juice at kegging.

    Lacto-fermented flavored soda water

I’ve done it. If you’ve made kombucha, then you’re already there. Keg early when it’s still a little too sweet. My strain eventually gets too acidic to drink even when chilled. I stay away from acidic fruit for that reason. Ginger, peach/mint, and straight up is the favorites. I add the...

    Beer won’t pour??

My PRV's have a little ring on them where if you turn it a bit, it'll hold the valve open so you don't get sprayed. If you remove both the poppet valves, some pretty big crap can run through the entire serving line. If that doesn't work, it's probably your hop bag clogging it up. I use picnic...

    Beer won’t pour??

Pull the poppet valve total out. Same with the one inside the ball lock on the serving line. Run a little out...

    Beer won’t pour??

Clean poppet valve in the ball lock. Takes very little to clog it up

    Cherry vanilla cream ale

I'm kind of leaning toward no bittering hops at all. I think that may yield a cherry nyquil flavor. If you do go with some bitterness, US Saaz has a particularly smoothness to the bitter that would be nice. And when you say "cream ale" is that a typical cream ale or are you going to add...

Device to over-ride a window air conditioner thermostat for a cold room.

This will take two temp controllers. One with a small light bulb taped to the ac temp probe. This controllers temp prob will measure the ambient air temp. One with its temp prob shoved in to ac cool and set to 32. This one should trip when the coil freezes over and will the turn off the...

Search for diy cool bot builders on here. Looks like its already been done using two temp controllers

Device to over-ride a window air conditioner thermostat for a cold room.

I looked into a coolbot a long time ago and I think there’s some extra programming involved that keeps the a/c from freezing over.

    So I did a thing...

Shake it. Let it sit way longer. Continue/start to take gravity readings. A big beer like that will be way better if you just let it sit for a month. What’s the gravity btw?

    New Keezer won't power on!

There’s usually a breaker by the compressor....if it’s not your controller wiring.

The cheapest brew set up I could build

11 gal brew pot and a burner for $120. http://www.homebrewfinds.com/2018/05/reader-tip-11-gallon-stainless-steel-kettle-propane-burner-more-119-27-best-price-free-shipping.html. I still use picnic taps, which I prefer to a real tap. They’re easy to sanitize and basically disposable when the...
