    Have I over primed?

So I don't have to worry about it continuing to carb? only 11 days seemed a bit short and the last thing I want is 50 bottles of "gushers". If I like it the way it is can I through them all in the fridge to keep carb levels where they are?

    Have I over primed?

So heres the deal. I bottled a batch of BB Pacific Coast IPA extract kit on 2/27 (so 11 days ago). I got antsy and sampled one this afternoon. I was expecting a somewhat flat beer but much to my surprise it's flippin' delicious! It had what I consider the perfect amount of carbonation and formed...

    Air pocket in bottling wand

Thanks for tips. So kegging really that much easier? And what makes it easier? How much would it cost for a basic kegging setup?

    Air pocket in bottling wand

Perfect. I'll definitely try a shorter section. I had a suspicion that the bottling wand was cheap. Definitely be buying a spring loaded one for my next bottling sesh.

    Air pocket in bottling wand

Yes, it was 3". It's a similar setup to the one Revvy uses in his bottling/kegging thread. The bottling wand is pretty much all or nothing. It doesn't let me control the rate of flow. When the spigot is all the way open the bottles fill extremely fast and bubbles form...although it sounds like...

    Air pocket in bottling wand

Ok so bear with me...I tried looking through the bottling/kegging thread but couldn't really find what I was looking for. Just bottled Brewers Best West Coast IPA extract kit and am afraid I may have introduced too much oxygen while bottling. I use a 3" section of tubing attached to my...

    Advise please

Thank you all! So the consensus seems to be that I'm ok and I should bottle. You all are awesome. Appreciate the advice.

    Advise please

Thanks. I am anxious to bottle but just want to make sure it's time. So the sporadic bubbling is ok? I will be getting a thief for my next batch but I made sure the hydrometer was sanitized (3 times actually).

    Advise please

I posted some newb questions a few days ago and greatly appreciate all the feedback I got. But, I have another question or two. Currently I have my first batch of front porch pale ale sitting in the primary. It's been sitting for 3 weeks now (and counting) I popped the lid off 2 days ago to...

    Newb Question(s)

Thanks Donnie, So if I don't have a thief or turkey baster to take a sample is it acceptable to put the hydrometer directly into the fermenter to take a reading? Am I exposing the beer to too much oxygen by prying off the lid to take these readings/samples. Appreciate the advice and...
