    Hiyo from Wyo

Welcome to HBT! Selfish OT here, but my website has been visited by people in every State excluding Vermont and Wyoming. Could you hook me up and take a look? There are some halfway decent beer reviews on there. The link is in my signature. Thanks!

    Merchant du Vin Beer Chart

This shows the front and all the beers, but the back has all the breakdowns. http://www.merchantduvin.com/mdv_classic_brewing_styles_front_8_2009.pdf Gives color, OG, IBU, hops used, pairings, history, etc. They don't give the malts, just color. It's worth the 11 bucks.

    Merchant du Vin Beer Chart

Ahhhhhh!!! It's pretty big, 20+ beers. It folds out to like 2' x 2'. I'll see if I can take a clear pic. I was recommending you go buy it. I forgot how good Sam Smith is.

    Merchant du Vin Beer Chart

Cute graphic...A little harsh maybe? It's a box, with 3 beers, and a glass.

    Merchant du Vin Beer Chart

General info.-The Sam Smith gift pack is awesome! It not only comes with 3 great beers and a nice Imperial Pint glass, but it also has a beer chart with IBU's, etc. of every beer they import. Very cool.:mug:

Adding yeast to flat bottles-Need advice

Couldn't stand it, opened one up tonight, (around 7 weeks), it's getting there, slowly. I'm locking them away for a month. Unfortunately, I have the key.

Adding yeast to flat bottles-Need advice

Thanks all, I guess waiting another month can't hurt. I think I might have noticed a tiny bit more 'Phshh" sound at week 6 than I did at week 3. We'll see, it's pretty good blended though.

Adding yeast to flat bottles-Need advice

I've got an IIPA that's still flat after 6 weeks, so I want to add a wine yeast to get some bubbles. Here's what I'm thinking... Hydrate yeast in 1 pint of boiled water, divide equally between bottles, recap and shake. SG-1.09-FG-1.023 Questions- -Do I still have enough fermentables...

    Infection Risk???

Success! Definitely got an infection. Pretty amazing looking, beer looked ok transferring, but smell made me gag a little. This stuff showed up in 1 day. I still think this could be done, but you'd have to be a lot more careful than I was! What do you think? Dump it or let it roll and see...

    Infection Risk???

After a long night of bottling, (and opening bottles), I accidentaly pushed the stopper through on one of the watermelons. I loosely covered the hole with Saranwrap! This is turning into an experiment to see what all I can do wrong before getting an infection. I'm going to be a little nervous...

    Infection Risk???

Yeah that's what I was thinking, (inside of melon sterile). I sterilized the knife, but eventually it got ugly. I was using my finger to unclog while cleaning out the melons. Filled the Honeydew with extremely hot tap water and shook to remove seeds. I tried to leave about half of the meat...

    Infection Risk???

The yeast are doing their thing! There are a few leaks but the melon on the left is chugging right along!

    Infection Risk???

Used a sanitized filet knife, cut, scraped, shook, dumped. Just wanted to see what happens, probably transfer in a week...if it makes it that long. Only $10 invested, just having some fun.
