Fermentation control for SS Brewtech 14

I know that it has been awhile since this post but I have used the FTSS for awhile now and it is a quality device and it works as advertised. The only problem I had was constantly changing ice out trying to keep my temp down.So I went out and got a used upright freezer that it will fit into...

    What are you drinking now?

Finally ready after a month of waiting. My own Mosaic Imperial IPA turned out very well. 9% ABV that is well (dangerously) hidden behind dank piney hops with stone fruit and citrus.

What came in the mail for you today?

That looks similar to my setup. Is that the 14 or the half barrel 17 gallon chronical? I should be brewing with the conical in a week or so. Have you used your conical yet? I would be interested in how your ferment goes with the conical.

Welcome to brewing! I have been brewing for a number of years but all grain now for only about 8 months and I love it. I am also in NJ though I'm "down the shore". I have both purchased from Bobby_M and attended one of his classes and I learned alot. His shop is loaded with really useful items...

All Grain v Extract (my experience)

I agree, I have stepped up to AG from my first extract and later partial grain brews to all grain. I have noticed that the flavor of my beer has improved. My beer before all grain was very good but now its great! This may also be due in part to the fact that I am oxygenating my wort and I am...

This uses the same hops without the rye. Its a west coast Imp and two row. The hop blend with these two is amazing!

    My New Keezer

Thanks much! I didnt make finish it to the fine standards of your keezer but I like the varnished pine ok and more importantly it keeps the beer beautifully. That keezer you built looks like a nice piece of furniture, congrats!

    Operation: Sixpoint Resin

Hi, I know its a very late post to this thread but a beer kit I just brewed comes very close too and with some tweaking might be made to taste exactly like Resin. The kit was an all grain from Northern. The name of it was Cascade Mountains West Coast Imperial IPA. Now I realize that it is an...

    My New Keezer

Nice Keezer! I recently finished mine that I made from a GE 7 cubic foot freezer. I fashioned an insulated collar from some decent pine then installed a Johnson thermostat and two Perlick 650's. It now has a nice Cascade Imp IPA on tap with a Plinian and Dead Ringer Clone as well as a black ale...
