    Bee Pollen

I used it once back in the late 90's to make a batch that I called Buzz Beer after the beer that was done on the Drew Carey Show, As I remember I put 1/2 lb. to a 5 gallon batch. It had a slight honey sweetness but more of herbal/floral note. The wife loved it . Good Luck with the experiment.

What was - or will be - your first "serious" upgrade?

I would say the #1 improvement has been the addition of a computer recipe (I use Brewsmith) program. It has greatly improved the consistency of my brews. #2 has been my stand-up freezer and temp. controller for fermenting. I am now able to reliably brew lagers that have turned out great.

    2016 Hop Growing Thread

Ripcord, I would keep it properly watered and place it in filtered sunlight. You don't want to stress it too much. You still have what looks like one good bine so with some TLC it should survive. Good Luck!

    Fermentation with a FastFermenter

when I reach the stage of fermentation that you are showing, I close the ball valve and dump the collection ball. I have found that the first ball full is mostly trub w/ a little yeast. I then sanitize using Star-San and let the ball dry before reinstalling it. I slowly open the valve and leave...
